Nursery 6 Months - 2 Years

Our nursery setting can accommodate up to 12 babies each session. The open layout of the room allows the babies to explore and discover the world around them.

We provide daily opportunities for messy play, music, sensory and physical development in an environment where they lead the direction of play.

Each child has their own box to keep their personal belongings. When it's time for a nap we have individual pods and each child has their own bedding.

Pre School 3 - 4 Years

We follow the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which sets out the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth up to 5 years of age.

We offer free flow experience of the different development areas, the children are free to use all of the spaces to spark their curiosity. We provide environments that are engaging, through offering a variety of experiences that are both challenging and achievable.

We understand that children develop in individual ways and ensure that we plan experiences that are personalised to children's individual learning styles and interests.Although we do plan in advance, it is overruled by any 'spark' created by the children, this method of planning is based on the here and now.

Each child has a 'key person' A key person is a member of staff assigned to an individual child to support their development and act as the key point of contact with that child's parents or carers. The key person helps build and develop positive relationships with children and between parents, carers and staff.

We are absolutely delighted with the care that our daughter receives at Swanland Nursery and Preschool.

Having started at 8 months old in the baby room she has now progressed into the main room and is a happy and contented 2 year old. The staff are always friendly and helpful and her key worker is incredibly dedicated and truly cares about her wellbeing. The environment is extremely inviting and homely.

We are now expecting our second child and have already secured a place for 2022.
